Costing your Charter

We understand that costs can escalate when organising a special event, therefore we have designed a special calculator to cost your charter giving you a grand total and cost per head. PLEASE NOTE: Boat hire costs are for evenings only and not for weddings, please contact us with your specific date if your require daytime hire costs.

Where we go

Depending on length of hire, most charters leave Maidstone and travel upstream through Farleigh Lock, under Farleigh, Barming and Teston bridges turning at Teston Lock. The cruise then continues downriver to Allington Lock before returning to Maidstone. Click here for a map of our journey and photos.

Entertainment

Our resident DJ caters for all occasions with music from the 1950's right through to present day at the cost of £200 for upto 4 hours. We can also accommodate jazz bands, opera singers, tribute acts, vocalists, fun casino tables and even magicians to entertain wedding guests. If you would prefer background music then we have a 12 CD changer on board with a variety of styles to choose from

Decorations

Individually taylored decorations can be arranged with balloons, banners, ribbon, celebration napkins and table confetti.

Champagne Reception

To welcome your guests aboard we can arrange a glass of champagne, bucks fizz or orange juice on arrival.

Licensed Bar

Our well stocked licensed bar serves a wide variety of drinks, including wine, spirits, alcopops, draft and bottled beer, soft drinks, hot beverages and snacks. Our bar tariffs are similar to pub prices.

Local Hotels

If your guests are coming from afar or you just don't want to drive home after your party, there is now a Travelodge within 3 minutes walk of our mooring in Maidstone. There are also two hotels within a few minutes walk from our mooring in Allington, The Village Hotel and Premier Inn.

Disabled Access

Set on a single deck the Kentish Lady provides excellent access for the disabled, with normal river conditions there is level entry for most wheelchairs (maximum 30 inches wide). However, toilets are walk in only.
