April until October - Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays :
We run daytime or evening cruises catering for coach parties, small groups and individuals or private hire, the Kentish Lady provides easy access for standard wheelchairs and has excellent facilities including washrooms, heating and a fully licenced bar. Daytime cruises run 12.00-15.00 and Evening cruises run 18.00-21.00.
The Kentish Lady will leave Maidstone Town Centre and take the three hour cruise upriver through Farleigh Lock and onwards under Farleigh, Barming and Teston bridges, turning at Teston Lock for the return journey. Enjoy your lunch/supper of either Fish & Chips or Picnic Box (varies by cruise) whilst listening to our commentary along the way. You can click here to view a map of the journey.
Once we are through the lock the countryside opens up to reveal wildlife of all varieties including Kingfishers, Herons, Swans, Cormorants, Geese and Ducks, so remember to keep a watchful eye out!
The boat can seat a maximum of 70 people so please be aware that your group may be mixed with other groups.
** As we are reliant on weather and river conditions, we advise you to always check our timetable on the day you wish to take a trip to ensure we are running.
Please note, we do not accept children under 16 years old on our Three Hour Cruises. Pets (other than official guide or assistance dogs) are not permitted on boardk. Tickets are non refundable.

Pre-book in advance
Our well stocked licensed bar serves a wide variety of drinks, including wine, spirits, alcopops, draught and bottled beer, soft drinks, hot beverages and snacks. Our bar tariffs are similar to pub prices.
Why not treat someone special to a unique and thoughtful gift. Three Hour Cruise vouchers are available for purchase any time throughout the year. Your recipient is then able to redeem their voucher on any of the available dates (see scheduled cruises). To purchase your voucher please ring 01622 753740.
Set on a single deck, the Kentish Lady provides excellent access for the disabled. With normal river conditions there is level entry for most wheelchairs (maximum 30 inches wide). Please note, however, that our toilets are ‘walk in’ only.
We are able to accommodate 2 pre-booked wheelchairs per cruise (no seat required aboard), however if you only need help getting to the vessel we are happy to store further wheelchairs in our secure quayside storage facility. Please consider carefully when booking your wheelchair space as this could prevent someone who is wheelchair bound joining the cruise.
Tickets must be purchased in advance either at Cruisers Ice Creamery on the quayside in Maidstone or via telephone with a debit/credit card.
We don't feel it is appropriate to bring dogs (other than guide dogs) on the three hour cruise as there is no appropriate stopping point where they are able to disembark throughout the journey.
The picnic box consists of four quarter sandwiches (ham/cheese/egg/tuna), plain crisps, homemade cake and a chocolate bar. Fresh fruit is laid out at the front of the vessel and a token for tea/coffee/water can be exchanged at the bar. The bar will be open for the duration of the cruise for the purchase of additional refreshments.
On our picnic box cruise, we are only able to offer a vegetarian alternative upon request at the time of your booking. For other dietary requirements you are welcome to bring your own specially prepared lunch box, however, as the picnic box is free on the cruise we are unable to offer a discount. You will still receive the box which you are welcome to take home or share amongst your fellow passengers. On our fish & chip cruises we are able to offer sausage and chips or salad and chips as an alternative. Unfortunately we cannot offer fish & chips on a picnic box cruise and visa versa.
