By Public Transport About Us The Kentish Lady (Hire Cruisers Ltd) was taken over in October 2003 by Tony Cheeseman. He then had the enormous task of refurbishing her which took nearly six months to complete with almost everything internally and externally being altered or replaced giving the boat a new lease of life. Tony runs the business with his wife Shirley and their daughter Sara, as a team they run the vessel which also includes the riverside cafe, aptly named 'Cruisers'. They are all from different working backgrounds, including building, personal assistant, beauty and interior design, so the new venture was a very big challenge for everyone.
