The Kentish Lady runs one hour return trips (one way available) between Maidstone town Centre and Allington Lock.
Maidstone is perfect for an afternoon shopping trip or meeting friends, whilst at Allington Lock you can stop for lunch at the Malta Inn or spend time at the open air Museum of Kent Life. Along the route, we can stop at Whatman Park (by request).
The boat runs regularly throughout the day giving you the opportunity to return on a later sailing, however, our schedule may be interrupted by private hire so please check below, in advance to avoid disappointment.

Boarding at .....
You can board at Archbishops' Palace, Maidstone which is in the town centre (ME15 6XG View Map) or at Allington Lock/Museum of Kent Life/Malta Inn, junction 6 off the M20 (ME14 3AS View Map). We can also pick up at Whatman Park landing stage.
Historic Journey
Our informative commentary tells you all about the sights including Corpus Christi Hall and Maidstone's oldest pub dating back to 1636. We also pass Allington Castle where Henry the Eighth used to meet Anne Boleyn.
Museum of Kent Life / Malta Inn
The Museum of Kent Life is a place where you can discover the rich and vibrant history of the people who lived and worked in the Garden of England over the past 150 years. It is a place where you can step back in time and re-discover the rural life of Kent on the beautiful 28 acre farm, leaving behind the modern world and experiencing the sights, sounds and smells of country life in Kent.
The Malta Inn is a delightful Beefeater Restaurant and Pub with river frontage seating and an outside BBQ area.
Groups
The Kentish Lady is licensed to carry 100 people, however this number is reduced when the majority of passengers are adults. Our recommendation if your entire group is adults would be 75. School groups with primary school children are able to fill the boat to capacity. Please ring to book your group on a specific date.

Licensed Bar
Our well stocked licensed bar serves a wide variety of drinks, including wine, spirits, alcopops, draft and bottled beer, soft drinks, hot beverages and snacks. Our bar tariffs are similar to pub prices.
Disabled Access
Set on a single deck the Kentish Lady provides excellent access for the disabled, with normal river conditions there is level entry for most wheelchairs (maximum 30 inches wide). However, there is limited access in the toilets.
